password for live streaming (not to be confused with streaming live DJ. This password can be used to stream only if the server to be used as streaming servers without AutoDJ classic.

Tools necessary for the use and programming of 'Auto DJ:

A computer (Windows, Mac or Linux) connected to the Internet

A browser (we recommend Firefox or Chrome. Other browsers may not work)

An FTP client program (we recommend Filezilla, powerful and free.

A program to manage and convert sound like Free MP3 Converter (free)

Server configuration:

Normally, the server is delivered with the following configuration:

1 mountpoint mp3 128k (/ stream)

Crossfade of 3/2 with Fade IN 0 seconds and fade out of 1.5 seconds (values are mixing tracks)

Replay Gain Enabled (serves to normalize the volume of files)

Remember to enter the following parameters such as:

Title Streaming (It will be the name of your radio or channel)

Genre (or genres will be the main musical genre you want to play, separated by a space. For example: Pop Dance)

If you want to create a second mount point (such as a 32k or 48k AAC + for mobile devices, you can do it in the Mount Point.

Remember that every time you make a change to the configuration, you have saved, you must restart your server.

STEP 1 - Preparation of audio files

For better performance of your channel web radio, you should carefully prepare all the files you are going to transfer to your server AutoDJ. The basic rules are the following:

All files is good that they are of the same bit rate, but it is not essential. The important that they are in mp3 at a bit rate equal to or greater than the transmission bit rate of the highest and mountpoint (important) with a sampling frequency of 44.100 kHz (never 22,050 or more). Not encode never more than 256k.

If the files are different bitrates will think anyway Centova Cast 3.1 to encode output depending on the mount point and size.

Seeks to cut by all files white space in the front and rear. You will guarantee a better mixing of the elements in the sequences.

Normalize files to the same volume. You will have less audio swings in the flow of your radio.

Try to separate the music into different groups (news, oldies, Italian etc. etc.) This will allow you to better plan your musical sequences.

To work files, convert them to mp3 to a single bit rate, normalize and cut (trimmers) silence on the head and tail you can use Free MP3 converter that you have recommended in the previous paragraph.

WARNING: We have often found some problems with FTP clients is not well settled regarding the coding of language files. When you upload files via FTP, we recommend to make sure that they have not in the file name of accented characters (such is à ò ù é). They may cause problems and block AutoDJ. To verify that your FTP client has the right setting, load a file with an accented letter and then try to delete it or rename it using the file manager of internal Centova Cast. If the operation is successful then you should have no problems with these files . If the operation fails, never use this file in the playlist and you try to delete it immediately with FTP. If you could not open a ticket and request the cancellation forced our technicians.

STEP 2 - Upload files to the server

When you have the files you need to upload them to the server through the web interface present on your panel or your FTP client (Filezilla). To load a large number of files is preferable to use FTP. For a small number of songs, commercials, jingles programs (programming daily or periodic) can safely use the panel file manager.

Web Panel:

On the menu of the left panel click on AutoDJ / Files. You will enter in the File Manager; located in the folder where you want to upload your files and hit "upload" below.

This will open a pop-up that lets you select the files to your computer and load them in the selected directory.

FTP:

On the control panel of your server, click on the left menu "Quick Links"; in this section you will find all the necessary links and data to run your server.
The item copied FTP host address of your server and paste it in the field HOST Filezilla. Enter the username and password that you have been sent to Filezilla and connect with your FTP server.
WARNING: Do not put on the door of your filezilla Easy radio. The port field must be empty (or at most has to be the target 21, which is that of FTP).

In Filezilla the left there are the folders on your computer, right on your remote folders on the server.

On the server you will connect to different folders. The one that interests you, where you have to load all the material, is the folder "media": it opens with a double click.

At this point you'll want to create in the media folder subfolders with the names of the types of files you're going to load: for example "Songs", "Italian songs", "Jingle", "Spot" etc.etc.
Remember that inside the "media" you can enter a maximum of one level of subfolders. Besides not allowed (ie if you create a folder inside POP you can not create another.

Do drag and drop files from your computer to the server folder to upload them. To as many as 15 Gbytes of disk space available and then you can load very many songs, over a thousand.
The duration of the charging time depends on the speed of your connection.

STEP 3 - Preparing the Server

Connected to your control panel and click on the menu on "configure the server".
Title of stream write the name of your radio on website URL put the address of your website. In the section on Gender AutoDJ write the kind of music or the radio you want to do, such as POP, ROCK, TALK, etc. NEWS etc. Crossfade field enter the number of seconds before the mix of tracks. In the "threshold" enter the number of seconds in which you do not want a file to be mixed with the following (if you put 30 seconds, it means that all files that are shorter than 30 seconds will not be mixed with each other; great for commercials and jingles).

In the section you will find MountPoints default the first and main server "/ stream". Click on the mount point and in the "AutoDJ settings" regulates the type of encoder you want to use for this stream: MP3 or AAC +, the bit rate (the sum of the bit rates of all the mount point should not exceed 192k). We recommend that you leave the other defaults. When the server is given the mountpoint / stream is set to mp3 128k.

Click on UPDATED. Your server is ready to be programmed.

IMPORTANT: Whenever you do any change in the configuration (settings) of the server, you still need to restart the server itself for changes to take effect. Not sufficinte saving settings.

STEP 4 - Update the file library

Click again on "AutoDJ / Media" and you'll see all the material that you upload via FTP panel or divided by Artist or title. OPTIONS on the right you can select "Browse for Folder" (recommended) to view the library in the form of folders you've created on 'FTP.

The music library is automatically updated after each input file from the integrated file manager and after about 60 seconds after closing the FTP client (filezilla).
In case of need you can force the library update section AutoDJ / media and clicking on 'Options' in the upper right: you will find the command 'update library manually'.

STEP 5 - Creating and scheduling of playlist

Let's go to the real heart of the system: Click on the menu "AutoDJ / Playlists"; Playlists are folders where you can post your files who reason with very precise rules.

You must create a folder for each item you want to turn on your radio. The system proposes 5 you can sample and from the start.

Try opening a playlist by clicking on the icon on the right center. You will give the playlist a name, decide whether to enable it, and decide how to act on the stream of the radio:

General rotation

Suitable for music; You can choose to play songs randomly (by chance) or in order of those that you place. Playback WEIGHT decides the weight of this playlist than other General Rotation playlists. For example if you create playlists 2 General: a music Italian and one foreign music, If the playlist of foreign music by weight and 10 to the Italian weight 5, when the direction will select the pieces to be put on the air play on the radio Double tracks foreigners than Italians. Finally, you can enable your playlist only a few hours of the day or leave it always operational.

It 'good to remember that Centova Cast reasons within 24 hours. So playlists general must refer to a single day. For example if you want a playlist 'general' is broadcast from 20.00 to 8.00 in the morning, you'll have to create 2 equal: one from 20:00 to 23:59 and another from 00.00 to 8.00. But when a playlist 'general' must play all day (always enabled), make sure that there is no scheduled time (everywhere the symbol '-' present in the dropdown menu of the times).

Scheduled

To schedule an event in time. The elements of the playlist will be played per day and the time you programs on this page. You can choose to play all the tracks in sequential order, random play or if only a trace of the random playlist .. You can also decide whether to grant another playlist to time (scheduled) to terminate the current playlist or wait until the end and put in thing or give him a maximum of minutes to wait before forcing a stoppage.

Warning: if you are planning the day's events, remember to put as start date the following day for items with a time of day in the past. Example: If today's planned 3 news at 10.00, 15:00 and 18:00 with daily intervals (every day), the time that you do careful planning. If you are doing programming at 16 and want to be active from the start, the programmed playlist of 18 with today and those of 10 and 15 at the date of tomorrow. Because otherwise this just confirmed Centova Cast would send in wave (retrieving them) all the programming (of 10 and 15) that would remain in the queue. This concept downstream from 00.00 every day.

Interval

Suitable for Jingles radio. The contents of the playlist will be played (all or random one at a time) each X grains music or X minutes. Whatever the direction will always wait the end of a song before inserting the element. The music will never be interrupted and played until the end.

Immediate

It sounds immediately the contents of a playlist just enabled. You can choose to play the tracks in sequential or random.

To get started and to understand how it works, only allows 2 playlist: one for music in general and a Rotation for jingles in Interval (eg every 2 songs).

STEP 6 - Loading playlist

On the menu click on "AutoDJ / Media"; choose and select the songs and do drag and drop on one of the playlists you've created that we find on the left. Do the same with the jingle. You left clicking on the playlist you can view its content and modify it if necessary. If the changes mentioned before going out to save the playlist by clicking on SAVE at the bottom right. To select multiple files for drag and drop using the ctrl key (on Mac).

STEP 7 - BROADCAST

At this point, if you've created and loaded correctly your AutoDJ, go to the main page of your panel by clicking on "Overview".
On the menu click on "Server / Start".
Your radio is on the air and you can see traces of los toric in the central part of the panel.

IMPORTANT: Until further updated, every time you drive by a start / stop / restart server, despite the command response is positive, the left menu is not automatically updated. Before continuing you may want to refresh the page by clicking again on "overview".

To listen to your channel, you can click one of the links that are in the upper right panel.

In the "General / quick links" menu there as top item on the link to your personalized "Your Start Page test for streaming" that will give the person concerned to make listening to your radio, to see the titles and statistics. If you have your own website, from your webmaster links that are always on the quick links in the "Links for listening." Using the server aac +, the best way to exploit its potential on your site is to order our HTML5 player.

In the "Configuration / Widgets" menu you can set up and generate many codes HTML / JavaScript that your webmaster can use the pages of the site of the radio.

STEP 8 - CREATING A AUTHHASH (making public the stream on the site Shoutcast.com)

Since December 2018 Shoutcast has completely changed its policy. It no longer freely allows you to register your radio on its directory if the version of the server used is not 2.6 or higher.

Currently our company provides the Shoutcast2 service with version 2.5 which is still the best and most stable.

To publish your radio on the Shoutcast directory, you need to create a code (called 'authash') that you can no longer create yourself. If you do not have your own authash file previously created on another server, our company can create one for you.

Open a support ticket on our site:
https://www.newradio.it/client/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=2

Request the generation of the authash code for Shoutcast2 and provide us with the following information:

    Name of the radio
A brief description of the radio
    Address of the radio site
    A contact email
    Proposed musical genre
    City of belonging

Within 24 we will generate the code and we will take care of inserting it on your server.
You will receive an email confirming the success of the operation.

P.S.
We do not yet know until Shoutcast will allow the creation of authash for server version 2.5.
Newradio will not be held responsible for any removal from the directory by shoutcast.com or the impossibility of registration.

STEP 9 - BROADCAST LIVE DJ & Permits

Centova Cast 3 has a management much more evolved and powerful DJ allowed to go live.

By clicking on "Configuration / DJs", you can create countless accounts for your DJ and assign them different powers and limits of intervention in the panel and even the days and times at which you can connect.

Every time we create an account DJ, we will have a 'usernames and passwords for each user. This data will be used by every DJ set to enter the control panel and to connect with their encoders and going live.

WARNING: It 'important that each time you create or edit a DJ in DJmanagement must enter the server configuration (settings), save (even if you have not changed anything) and then restart the server. Otherwise the changes to section DJmanagement will not be operational.

At the time of having to transmit a live program, you have to prepare your encoder with the data for the connection:

Method with Shoutcast encoder 1

Prepare your encoder (advise MBRecaster) and set it in V1 mode Shoutcast, mp3 128k (You can also use aac + at lower bitrates).

The mode shoutcast 1 is to be used in LIVE streaming server even if the final is an Icecast.

Host Address and port (the port must be that of the server +2 (or +1 in the case of final Icecast server), for example if the server port is shoutcast 8100, the port to use for the connection is the 8102 or 8101 if the server is an Icecast)

password streaming must be made by combining the username and password of the DJ with the ":" (eg username: password).

Section quicklinks find the correct parameters for the connection.

When you're ready it will be sufficient to enable the encoder. Your server Easy Radio automatically switch your channel streamed on the input signal without dropping the ratings.

At the end of your direct, power down the encoder's direct and your radio will automatically return on Easy 'AutoDJ.

It 'important to know that during the direct AutoDJ pauses. After connecting the DJ will continue from where it stopped.

N.B.

When a DJ is connected directly, the flow is automatically entered on all mountpoint server respecting the audio formats and bit rates. That is to say that if your server has for example 2 mountpoint: one to 128k mp3 and another at 64k aac +, also the live DJ will be broadcast in the same way.

To connect the DJ recommend a flow mp3 128k or 64k AAC +
